Once again, Cocol's set design for Maelstrom features a few dramatic pieces made up of intensely worked details. Here she applies clothesline "flocking" to an impossibly large mantle that will later be gilded. There's plenty of flocking onstage as well, as the large and gifted company seethes and swirls into a storm of action and emotion.
