On January 4, 1969, Albright's John Scholl scored 54 points in a game against Lycoming, a total that still stands as the school's single-game record. And this was before the invention of the 3-point shot. A large number of alumni and friends gathered at last night's Albright/Alvernia games to celebrate the 50th anniversary of that achievement, and to thank John for a record of support for Albright athletics that will never be broken.
