A birthday party and a warm welcome to the new kitchen brought half of Philadelphia to Sandy's last night. I milled and ambushed with my new "difused papparazzo" rig: an SB800 speedlight mounted on a light aluminum monopod along with a 27-inch silver umbrella. I was able to carry it around all night. It was a cloudless evening, but, armed as I was with my umbrella, the other guests never knew when lightning might strike!
