Through the efforts of David Tanner, Director of the CFA, Steven Nicodemus, and Kate Mishriki, Albright's Freedman Gallery hosted the State-wide meeting of the Association of Academic Museums & Galleries. The theme for the meeting was the intricate process of de-accessioning works of art, and curators and museum directors from Penn, Swarthmore, Villanova, Lehigh, F & M, Lafayette, Muhlenberg, Leb Val, and Gettysburg (among other schools) heard presentations by David and Kate, and a wonderful talk by student Abby Platero about Deaccessioning for Diversity. It was a splendidly stimulating event.
