Reading Reads - The Greater Reading Literary Festival - has been celebrating the pleasure of reading and Berks County, Pennsylvania's rich literary heritage - including such authors as Wallace Stevens and John Updike - at various venues for the past month. Just last Sunday, I held one of my marathon portrait sessions at the Goggleworks Center for the Arts, a brilliantly reclaimed industrial space in downtown Reading. The thought was to portray readers with a favorite book. While not everyone brought along their book, eighty folks stopped by and subjected themselves to my lens in a studio in the midst of the old shop floor.
