I'm actually pretty frightened by dogs, so for me it seems a bit odd that the weekend before final exam week should begin - for several years running, now - with an opportunity for students to interact with Therapy Dogs of Berks County in the Gingrich Library. I do understand that many folks are dog lovers, of course, and I recall vividly how much my late daughter Julia enjoyed doggy visits during her frequent hospitalizations, so there I was, down on the floor with the D300, documenting the hugs, the tricks, and the good-natured romping. My own stress? I'll have to live with it.
