This past Sunday, two very different classes of mine - African History and Heroes & Villains: A History of Fame - made a trip to Washington, DC to take advantage of the diverse resources of the Smithsonian Institution. Most of the images here were captured in the National Museum of African Art, The Museum of Natural History, The National Gallery of Art, and The National Portrait Gallery. From a technical point of view, I'm very pleased with the high ISO performance of the Nikon D300. On most of the gallery shots I had the ISO set to 1000.
