I stopped by Jakes Place today on the second morning of cancelled classes, as students gathered for a charge to cellphones and spirits. On Monday night a freakish gust of wind took down the main power lines leading to campus and left most areas without electricity or internet or hot water. Students are being good to each other and Faculty are showing grace on assignments that students are powerless to complete.
