Two of Europe's most esteemed exponents of the Viola da Gamba, Mathilde Vialle and Myriam Rignol stopped by East Stroudsburg yesterday on their way from Montreal to New York to offer a magical recital at Dan and Sidnie White Crawford's jewel of a hall and series on Beacon Hill. Featured were the works of St. Colombe and of his student Marin Marais, two 17th century French masters. Vialle and Rignol transported a large and appreciative audience to that remote and yet enthralling world.
