On the way to a seminar in Washington Crossing, we stopped at the National Cemetery there to pay respects to Saburo Arthur Kitagawa, who had served heroically in the 442nd during the Second World War, a battalion made up of American citizens of Japanese descent who had been imprisoned with their families in internment camps.
