It seems that most of my friends with good cameras, and a fair number with cell phones, have visited PA's Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in the past few weeks to view 10s of thousands of Snow Geese who use the reservoir as a favorite skyway rest stop as they make their way north to their breeding grounds. The telephoto zoom was particularly handy not simply for its optical reach, but because I could poke the long barrel in between front-row photographers who'd arrived before 6:33 this morning. It's a special place.
