The Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area has preserved Carrie Blast Furnaces Nos. 6 & 7, part of the Carnegie Steel - later U.S. Steel - operations along the Monongahela River, offering weekend guided tours of this remnant of the Pittsburgh region's industrial heritage.
