Chris Davis has produced an engrossing and unique evening of theatre. Rooted in a several-year sojourn in Chiapas and other parts of Mexico, his one-person play Drunk Lion is at once hilarious and moving, surreal and grounded, ethnographic and metaphysical. Davis is a young playwright with a voice so quirky and original that perhaps only he can sound every growl and nuance. Drunk Lion takes you from the belly of the beast to the stars, suggesting that they are one and the same place!
