I traveled to this year's 50th Annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival National Awards Ceremony largely to watch the company of Albright's production of A Raisin in the Sun receive the award for Outstanding Production of a Play and eight other distinguished honors. An added bonus were the final auditions for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. Those were marvelous performances. I grabbed a seat in the first row in the Terrace Theatre, and I had a great view of all the proceedings.
