Chris Davis's brilliant one-person play,
BORTLE 8, seeks out utter darkness in the night sky, and explores the individual psyche in the process. Davis reminds me of Herman Melville in his impulse to tie the mundane and personal to the rhythms of the cosmos. But Davis is a heck of a lot funnier.
The final performance of BORTLE 8 takes place tonight at sunset.
